General Surgery
Dr. Henderson was born in Hong Kong, China and has spent most of her life in California, Nevada and Oregon. She is fluent in English and Cantonese. Dr. Henderson completed her medical and general surgical training at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland and has lived in Oregon for the last 20 years.
In addition to her general surgical training, she completed a one-year rural surgery fellowship in Grants Pass, Oregon where she gained broad surgical experience in general, orthopedic, trauma and obstetrics/gynecologic surgery while caring for a rural community. After her undergraduate study, she spent seven years in scientific research prior to her medical education. Her graduate studies resulted in the development of a patented cellular system to study lymphoma. She has been published in scientific journals and has presented at scientific meetings as well as the National Institute of Health.
Dr. Henderson is board certified in general surgery and has a special interest in general, thoracic, breast, gastrointestinal and oncological surgical issues. She also specializes in repair of hernias and complex abdominal wall reconstructions.
Dr. Henderson and her husband, Bill have two children, Andrew and Michael. She enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling and spending quality time with her family.
