General Surgery
Dr. Kevin Modeste was born in the tropical twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, in the southern Caribbean. He completed his MBBS (the British equivalent of the MD) at the University of the West Indies. He completed his General Surgery Residency and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Modeste is Board Certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Lane County Medical Society, Oregon Medical Association, and American College of Surgeons.
His interests include, esophageal, thoracic and abdominal tumors, skin and soft tissue tumors and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for the full range of general surgery needs, including hernias, gallbladder and liver disease.
Dr. Modeste is enjoying life in the Pacific Northwest. Since coming to the US he has become a football fan; he is a Florida State University fan by marriage, but secretly prefers the Oregon Ducks. His wife is a Pediatric Surgeon, working at PeaceHealth. They have one daughter (so far). His hobbies include reading, running and travel and soccer.
